Senior Researcher, Government Innovation
Matt was a senior researcher working on the collaborative economy and digital social innovation.
He's passionate about how the growth of new technologies and collaborative models can be harnessed for social and environmental good and to foster more inclusive economic growth.
Matt previously worked as an intern in the Innovation Lab's jobs and education teams and shadowed with the Health Lab and Centre for Social Action. He's now found himself perched between Nesta's Innovation Lab and Policy & Research team. Matt is especially keen on cross-sectoral innovation and the interplay of different contributing factors to social issues, such as poverty and education or health and employment.
After graduating from the University of Oxford in July 2014 with a First in French and Spanish, Matt worked for six months in communications at Clifford Chance before carrying out a three-month internship as research and events assistant at think tank ResPublica.
He has also lived in Paris and Madrid, where he worked in publishing and as a translator in a cultural foundation.
Outside the office, Matt is most likely to be found in the kitchen, wandering around the National Gallery, planning his next European city break or reading an unhealthy number of 'Guardian' articles.
