Principal Researcher, Innovation Mapping
Alex is a Principal Researcher in Data Science for innovation mapping working in the Innovation Mapping team.
He is interested in procuring and connecting new data sets in order to generate interpretable policy insights by applying cutting edge statistical methods. Prior to Nesta, he studied Complexity Science at the University of Warwick and has worked on projects such as forecasting the effectiveness of drug treatment programmes for Elephantiasis with the World Health Organisation, and using machine learning to prototype a decision support tool for triage in Accident & Emergency departments with the NHS and Alan Turing Institute.
Alex likes cooking, has recently found a passion for cycling and hopes to now get into Triathlon.
