Kelly was a Learning Experience Designer in the Innovation Skills team.
Prior to Nesta, Kelly was at the University of Brighton completing her Ph.D. entitled 'Envisioning the Future Village'. Using a Research Through Design approach, her thesis explored the role of digital technologies in facilitating the collaborative creation of 'shared visions' for shaping the future development of communities. Her work often focuses on design thinking, design theory, and co-design tools and methods.
Before this she worked as a junior designer at interior design and architecture companies, contributing to concept development, drawing packages and generating visuals.
Kelly also holds an MA in Sustainable Design from the University of Brighton and a BA in Interior Design from Leeds Metropolitan University.
