Assaf was an Intern within our Innovation Lab, supporting the design of a new public innovation lab for Wales.
Before joining Nesta, Assaf was an intern at STEaPP in City Strategies and Leadership, working on the Urban Connections initiative. He recently completed an MSc. degree in Urban Planning at the Bartlett School of Planning, UCL, focusing on Urban Regeneration. Assaf is interested in the field of urban innovation and smart cities and for his dissertation he researched the incorporation of digital tools for public participation in regeneration projects.
Prior to moving to London, Assaf served as the Tel Aviv Municipality's Civic Engagement and Social Entrepreneurship Officer managing a hub for social innovation, leading internship programmes and designing community oriented events to redefine the relationship between the Municipality and the city's residents.
