Programme Manager, Innovation Lab
Sarah is a Programme Manager in the Innovation Lab working on the Savers Support Fund, supporting organisations to scale proven social action interventions that improve money management skills and reduce debt.
Sarah began her career in the music industry, working as a publicist with emerging and established musicians, before moving over to the charity sector in 2003. Over the last 14 years, Sarah has worked in London and across Greater Manchester in a variety of roles, from producing live online broadcasts with young people in Old Trafford (at Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council) to setting up a small charitable foundation, and giving grants to organisations in east London with the musician Ben Drew (Plan B). More recently, Sarah has worked with Makerversity at Somerset House to develop their learning strategy and explore the impact of a design led approach to community challenges.
An avid volunteer, Sarah has mentored young people at risk of offending, visited vulnerable older people while running with Good Gym and currently provides phone support for Breast Cancer Care. Motivated by a desire to improve the current imbalance in society, Sarah is really excited about the impact that the Saver Support Fund will have on communities across England.
