Orpa is an Assistant Programme Manager in the Challenge Prize Centre at Nesta.

She will be focusing largely on the Mobility Unlimited Challenge, in partnership with the Toyota Mobility Foundation. Prior to this role, Orpa was the Research Coordinator at the Challenge Prize Centre, and before this she worked as a Project Coordinator for the Government Innovation team at Nesta. Her very first role at Nesta was as the Research and Analysis Intern. During her time here, she has worked on a wide range of projects, with themes spanning from urban transport solutions, sustainable aquaculture in lower income countries, and assisted living for the ageing population; to air quality issues, mental health and an inclusive economy.

Before her many roles at Nesta, Orpa worked on an international development research project at the Development Planning Unit for which she travelled to Lima, Peru to investigate the social and environmental issues faced by the urban poor.

Orpa holds a Distinction in Environment and Sustainable Development (MSc) from UCL where she was awarded the Bartlett Masters Scholarship, and also holds a First in Forensic Science (BSc) from the University of West London.

In her spare time, Orpa can be found exploring art galleries and museums, and enjoying good food and music at festivals.
