Based in Nesta's Research, Analysis and Policy team, Charles conducts policy analysis regarding the impact of technology on work and jobs.

He supports a number of projects across Nesta, including Digital Frontrunners, an active network of 300+ future of work experts, policymakers and practitioners and FutureFit, a major training and research project involving unions, researchers and learning experts. Both programmes are based in the Nordics and Benelux, though the network spans across Europe and includes other international innovation hubs. In partnership with unions, FutureFit is focused on upskilling and resklling workers at risk of job displacement - and doing innovative, robust research about 'what works'.

Charles is also completing a Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value MPA at UCL, and has extensive experience working in Canada on a range of innovation policy issues.
