Lucy is the Head of Policy for Nesta and the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT), and leads the Rapid Insights Team which sits across the two organisations.

She was previously at BIT for six years where she held a range of policy and research roles, including as the research lead in BIT's Singapore office, as the policy advisor to David Halpern and within the education and home affairs policy teams.

Prior to joining BIT she worked as a secondary school maths teacher and in public opinion research. Lucy holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a Master’s degree in Behavioural Economics and Game Theory from the University of Amsterdam.

Where possible her time outside of work is spent researching, thinking about or eating good food.
