Katie joined Nesta in June 2012 as part of the Impact Investment team. She worked across all stage of the impact investment process from initial appraisal through to deal execution and portfolio management, with a specific focus on the fund's Ageing Well theme.
She has a background in social investment previously working for CAF Venturesome, a leading UK social investment fund, where she was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring a portfolio of social investments. She was also responsible for managing CAF Venturesome's first thematic fund the Community Land Trust Fund.
Prior to joining Nesta Katie worked for a microfinance fund in the Pacific region of Colombia. She started her career at GLE Growth Capital where she managed programmes aimed at boosting early stage investment in the UK.
