The Policy Communication Manager's role is to cut across the noise, by maximizing the reach, influence and impact of Nesta's cutting-edge research on innovation in the economy.

Elle's job is to work closely with innovation policy teams to hone their arguments, messages and policy proposals and to devise communication strategies which promote the work of Nesta’s innovation policy research and analysis programme.

Elle leads on communication and policy activities which support Nesta's innovation policy agenda, helping to promote Nesta's cutting-edge research on innovation in the economy and shaping policy recommendations to ensure real life application and impact.

Prior to Nesta, Elle was a Senior Associate at London-based PR firm Burson, Cohn and Wolfe where she worked for clients such as UN, Huawei and the Open University, as well as different international governments.

Elle previously worked for the Australian Government, communicating key government policy around digital transformation, women’s policy and Indigenous Affairs, where she was part of the core team leading the Federal Government campaign to recognize Indigenous people within Australia's Constitution.

Elle originally hails from Tasmania, and holds a Masters in Communications from RMIT in Melbourne. Outside of the office, you’ll likely find her on the side of a mountain, thinking about her next trip, or hanging out at the climbing wall. She harbors aspirations to become a London bike rider, but has yet to muster the courage
