Felix was a researcher in Nesta’s Explorations team.
Felix worked to shape the funding and research agenda of the Next Generation Internet initiative, the European Commission’s ambitious flagship programme seeking to build a more democratic, inclusive and resilient future internet.
His research focuses on emerging technology and its social, economic and political impact, as well the values underlying a European vision for the internet. He has written reports and policy recommendations for the European Commission and national policymakers. Felix also supports the work of Nesta's AI Ethics Board.
Felix previously worked in the Readie team, a policy centre helping to connect European policymakers and promote better digital policy and innovation. There he researched common challenges of digitalisation and worked to bring together European policymakers tackling them. He wrote a series of Explainers on digital topics and the report Digital Pulse: How ready is Sweden for the digital life?.
Prior to joining Nesta, Felix worked in commercial primary research, supporting investment and consultancy decisions. He has previously completed research projects with ComRes, the polling consultancy, and Ceartas, a small human rights charity. He holds degrees in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and Political Theory from the University of Lancaster and LSE respectively. He is an avid member of the Nesta Board Game Club and a less regular attendee at Bouldering Club.
