Sarah is a senior analyst for policy futures in Nesta's Discovery Hub, which aims to create a link between Nesta’s current portfolio and our pipeline of future work.

Before joining Nesta, Sarah worked in policy at His Majesty's Treasury (HM Treasury), providing advice to ministers on a range of domestic economic issues including access to finance for innovative businesses, Covid emergency business support schemes, VAT and excise reform, and post-Brexit border management policy. She completed HM Treasury's three-year graduate development programme in 2020.

Sarah studied History and English at university and later completed a postgraduate module in postwar British economic history. While studying she took part in various volunteering activities, including leading the university's Schools Plus tutoring programme.

In her spare time, Sarah continues to volunteer with The Access Project, tutoring disadvantaged school students to support them to realise their potential. In addition, she sings with a number of choirs and enjoys reading, hill-walking and going to the theatre.
