Festival Producer
Carole led the 2020 edition of FutureFest, Nesta's flagship festival of immersive experiences, compelling performances and radical speakers about the future.
Working alongside the Communications and Explorations teams, Carole managed the programming and production of the annual FutureFest festival, the FutureFest Lates and FutureFest Feasts event series, and the programming for the Nesta Talks To... series of in conversation events.
Carole is a multidisciplinary creative producer and programmer, with 10 years’ experience working across art, music and science festivals, live performance and visual art installations. She has particular experience in and passion for immersive, interactive and site-specific work, and art/science collaborations.
Prior to Nesta, Carole produced the world premiere of The Anvil, a major city-wide immersive theatre commission for Manchester International Festival, The Hexagon Experiment, a series of music/science collaborations for the Great Exhibition of the North and The Academy of Painting and Decorating for Sounds From The Other City Festival, her first immersive theatre/interactive game/live art show as an independent artist.
She also spent three years as Creative Producer of Manchester Science Festival, where she programmed and produced a sleep lab in a shopping centre, a human-sized spider's web made out of sticky tape, and an adult ball pool.
Carole is new to London, and outside work you will find her getting lost in galleries and swimming in the Hampstead Ladies Pond.
