Oliver works to research and develop new ideas for the Challenge Prize Centre, helping to realise the full potential of each new challenge prize.

Oliver has come over from Australia’s Department of Industry, Innovation and Science where he’s worked on trade, intellectual property and innovation policy. An economist by trade, Oliver’s interests lie primarily in supporting innovation and creating an environment that allows businesses to try and fail, and try again.

He has been through the University of Sydney, University of Canberra, Australian National University and the University of New England studying international affairs and economics. He’s passionate about running, swimming, cooking and pub sports (not necessarily in that order).
