Programme Manager, Social Health
Sophie is a Programme Manager in the Health Lab.
She is working on various projects, including Accelerating Ideas, a five year partnership between Nesta and the Big Lottery Fund to support eight ageing innovations to scale their reach and impact across the UK.
Sophie’s background is in social care. Most recently she was a senior commissioner at Oxfordshire County Council, where she introduced an innovation fund to support initiatives offering daytime support alternatives. She has lived and worked with people with learning disabilities and is interested in how the health and care system can better support people to do what matters to them.
Sophie is a qualified coach and enjoys supporting people to reflect on and reach their goals. Sophie has a degree in Social Policy from the University of Bristol and a Master’s in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford.
