Development Manager
Gillian managed Nesta's start-up programmes supporting innovative entrepreneurs across the UK including Starter for 6, Peer Mentoring and Insight Out. In 2009, Starter for 6 was adopted by the Scottish Government through Creative Scotland to extend the service. She helped create the Creative Enterprise Toolkit which is still being used by Universities across the UK - a collection of tools and materials that have been developed supporting creative entrepreneurs through our start-up work.
Since leaving Nesta, Gillian has founded Creative Dundee, an online platform to amplify and promote talent. She has also started an events series to better connect the city’s creative communities.
She has also led the development of a digital platform, We Dundee, which enables citizens to co-create cultural activities.
