Adam was the Academic Director of Y Lab, the Public Services Innovation Lab for Wales, created by Cardiff University and Nesta in 2015.
He led Y Lab's research activities and supported Nesta colleagues to design and deliver new innovation programmes in Wales. Adam taught in the School of Social Sciences at Cardiff University.
Adam joined Cardiff University in 2012 having previously worked at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the Institute of Education’s Social Science Research Unit. He’s a social scientist with expertise in public health improvement, public service innovation and experimental research designs. Adam has received research funding from a range of sources, including the UK Medical Research Council, the National Institute of Health Research, Harm Reduction International, the Welsh Government and the City of Cardiff Council.

BIT helps clients from government, nonprofits and the private sector to improve people’s lives through our empirical problem solving and deep understanding of human behaviour.
Challenge Works designs and runs challenge prizes to spark innovation in science, technology and society.
