What I do

Lorna worked across Nesta's creative economy and public service innovation programmes and managed the Digital Research and Development Fund for Arts and Culture in Scotland.


She joined Nesta from the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator where she was responsible for developing skills and governance among charity trustees and supporting individuals and organisations advising charities through a range of training, publications and events.
Lorna has worked extensively around leadership learning and development across public, private and third sectors as part of the team at the Social Enterprise Academy, Scottish Human Services Trust and the Scottish Leadership Foundation. She is an experienced trainer, facilitator and coach who has spent time as a charity chief executive, board member and volunteer mentor.
Lorna has a degree in geography from St Andrews University and a Masters in Applied Population Research from University of Exeter. She currently holds a public appointment as an advisory group member allocating European Structural Funds for the Highlands & Islands of Scotland.
An accomplished multi-tasker, Lorna is mum to twin toddler girls and has two dachshunds called Würst and Hoagie.
