Benedicta joins Nesta as the executive assistant to Matt Seden in the strategy team and James Plunkett in the Practices team.

Prior to joining Nesta, Benedicta (Ben) was a civil servant and worked in the project delivery function at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). Being assigned to youth custody services meant exploring and reviewing service provisions for young people on remand or serving sentences.

Prior to the MoJ, Ben worked initially as an executive assistant and then as a business manager for Associated British Ports (ABP). ABP has 21 ports in the UK and her role was overseeing the occupational health contract - ensuring that operational and office-based staff received the right health checks at the right time.

Outside of work, Ben is a trustee of the Thames Rivers Trust which stemmed from her love for the environment and wanting to be a good ambassador for environmental matters.

Ben has two children who keep her very busy as they both play club level cricket. She and her partner enjoy cooking and hosting family and friends. Ben loves to dance and enjoys a bit of shopping now and again!
