Rachel Carter

Senior Policy Manager, UK 2040 Options

Rachel joins Nesta as a senior policy manager in the UK Options 2040 team.

Prior to Nesta Rachel worked at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in New Zealand/Aotearoa. Here, she was most recently part of the Implementation Unit, monitoring and supporting the implementation of a number of the government's critical initiatives.

Rachel is currently completing a Master's in Public Policy at the London School of Economics. She has a background both in law, having practiced as a solicitor in New Zealand/ Aotearoa, and political science, holding a Master of Political Science from Te Herenga Waka (Victoria University of Wellington) which focussed on the politics of the Pacific.

Outside of work Rachel loves to cook and to read and is enjoying exploring all that London has to offer.
