Deborah works in the Innovation Lab and is responsible for the development, management and delivery of creative economy and government innovation programmes.  She has launched and delivered a number of programmes and currently runs the Give More Get More Fund, supporting organisations to test and develop new intensive volunteering services for people in or approaching retirement. Previously Deborah launched and developed Nesta’s Creative Business Mentor Network, a network of industry leading figures who mentored some of the UK’s most exciting creative businesses. Deborah also launched Make it Local in 2010, which aimed to show how local authorities can work with digital agencies to unlock their data and create useful web-based services. In 2011, she worked with Hyper Island UK to create a new type of digital education model for 18-24 year olds and in 2012 launched Destination Local, Nesta’s hyperlocal media programme aimed at better understanding and developing the UK’s hyperlocal scene.

Prior to joining Nesta, Deborah worked for TV broadcaster ITV, communications agency Hill & Knowlton and fashion brand Kickers.
