Björn Rust

Björn works as a design lead for our healthy life mission, supporting collaborators to identify design opportunities and deliver person-centred research and health outcomes.

Before Nesta, Björn worked as an innovation manager for Elrha’s Humanitarian Innovation Fund, where he led skills and capabilities-building while supporting grants within their disability and older age inclusion portfolio.

Previously, he led research on distributed ledger technology-based cash and voucher assistance for communities in Vanuatu with Oxfam Australia. He taught social innovation practices for the emerging contexts of the Anthropocene at RMIT University and patient-centred design as part of a research partnership with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
