With a background in strategic communication, Connor joins the Smart Data crew in Challenge Works to tackle stakeholder engagement across the project’s prospective partners.
Before arriving in the UK at the beginning of 2023, Connor was based in New Zealand working on government relations and business transformation. Having kicked off his career with New Zealand Police’s media relations team, Connor decided to transition to project work after finding an interest in delivering digital change for consumers’ benefit. He has worked on programmes to automate New Zealand's tax system, increase the accessibility of publicly-held geographical data and recently enjoyed a stint with UK Tech Nation’s research team and its Rising Stars startup competition.
Outside of work, Connor’s love for the outdoors has seen him organise several successful treks in Nepal, lead outdoor adventure activities in the USA and captain surf lifeguarding patrols around New Zealand’s coast.
