About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

Caecilie is a programme manager at Challenge Works, who has led on our work with the European Social Innovation Competition.

Before joining Nesta, Caecilie worked as an entrepreneurial consultant with educational organisations, development hubs and accelerators across London and Europe.

She was a co-founder of an entrepreneurial incubator, working with London startups, and designer of a series of original off-line crowd-funding events.

She holds a Masters of Arts in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths University of London. Caecilie is a persistent optimist who believes in learning from all experiences, good or bad.

Besides work, she enjoys cooking and worked briefly as a chef while launching a Scandinavian food company. She enjoys a physical challenge and has previously spent a month hiking through the Himalayas to the Mount Everest Basecamp.
