Cara is the campaigns manager for Nesta's communications team.

Before joining Nesta, Cara worked in parliament for an MP as Research and Campaigns Manager. Over three years she worked on successful campaigns to change law on abortion in Northern Ireland, policy on hate crime reform, regulation of buy-now-pay-later products, parental leave for parliamentarians, housing for those at risk of child criminal exploitation and discriminatory social security policies.

Cara co-founded a grassroots campaigning organisation focussed on reproductive rights which received the Liberty Long Walk to Freedom Award.
