Derry has over 10 years of experience working in political and campaigning organisations.

She has been a key player in transforming policy positions into effective influencing strategies.

She was an elected member of the Bexley Council in 2014 which she served for four years whilst working as a public affairs professional. Prior to joining Nesta, she worked at the National Centre for Social Research as their Events and External Affairs Manager, a new role in which she established a successful events portfolio, and ran her own social networking events company. Both roles have gained her, significant experience in managing large scale, high profile events to garner stakeholder interest to further financial and influencing objectives.

Derry graduated with a BA in Politics and International Relations and then went on to do a Master in International Law at the University of Kent, Canterbury.  

Outside of work, Derry spends time with her family and catching up with friends over bottomless brunches.
