Interim Head of New Ventures, Strategy Unit

Obi is the interim Head of New Ventures, responsible for creating and launching spin-out companies from Nesta's Mission Studio.

He supports the next iteration of venture building to address social challenges across health, sustainability and education.

Before Nesta, Obi was Senior Venture Manager and Stream Lead for Health at the Creative Destruction Lab, a deep-tech accelerator at the University of Oxford where he supported early-stage health and life science ventures to develop their product, raise capital and scale. Before this, Obi served as Technical Lead for Health at the Commonwealth Secretariat in London, supporting policy development and implementation across health and social policy.

Obi is a medical doctor, founder and angel investor, having completed the Newton Fellowship Program at the London Business School.

Outside of work, you will find Obi cycling steep hills across London, exploring museums, art galleries and parks anywhere he can find them.
