Nesta and Nesta Italy on the future of European social innovation, together with the European Commission, Ashoka, Kennisland, the European Network of Living Labs, Turin City Lab and UniCredit.

The gathering, kindly hosted by the social entreprise The Musichall theater, looked at using social innovation in lens systems - exploring the individual to the local and regional levels and drawing from the European Social Innovation Competition it will address some important questions:

  • how can grassroots innovators build tangible solutions to the challenges facing Europe?
  • how can collaborative partnerships expand local ecosystems to support the progression of these solutions?

Experts from across the sector also discussed the wider status of European social innovation focusing on:

  • success stories of innovations that create social impact;
  • how to amplify the scale and sustainability of successful social innovations;
  • how to align top down policies, regulations, laws and taxes with bottom up.
