The Inventor Prize aims to inspire and harness the potential of the UK’s home-grown inventors. Here we meet the 10 finalists competing for the grand prize

The Inventor Prize, run by Nesta and funded by the Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, aims to inspire and harness the potential of the UK’s home-grown inventors and stimulate user-led innovation.

In August 2017, we opened entries to anyone based in the UK who had an invention that would improve people’s lives. After receiving over 180 applications, we recently announced our final 10 Inventors who, in September 2018, will compete for the final Prize of £50,000.

Our 10 finalists will each receive a £5,000 grant in addition to non-financial support from Barclays Eagle Labs to support them develop their products and get ready to pitch to our expert judging panel.

Follow their journey here, as each month we add a new blog from one of our inventors and get the insider perspective on what it’s like to be a finalist.

We'll be announcing the winner of the Inventor Prize on the 18th September in London at the Inventor Prize awards event. To register your interest in attending please check out our events page.
