The European Social Innovation Competition is a €150,000 challenge prize by the European Commission, delivered by a consortium led by Nesta.

This year's theme is RE:Think Local; after launching in March 2018, the competition aimed to find and support the most innovative projects which empower young people in a changing economy. 30 semi-finalists were selected for a three-day training Academy held in Cluj, Romania and were supported with individual coaching, before submitting development plans for the consideration of the competition’s judging panel.

In September, we were delighted to announce the ten finalists for this year's competition.

At the awards event, we heard from each of the finalists about their projects and from expert speakers on the importance of social innovation in Europe. We also announced the three 2018 winners and the Impact Prize winner.
