About this area of focus

We are identifying ways to switch to low-carbon heating at scale. The UK's current approach to low-carbon heating relies primarily on individual household decisions, supported by government incentives and regulations. We are designing an approach to help the UK move in a more coordinated way by creating clean heat neighbourhoods, allowing the transition of multiple households within a specific geographic area - be it a street, neighbourhood or larger region - to low-carbon heating systems.
