This Privacy Notice explains how Nesta and its Award partners will use personal information collected for the purpose of the delivery of the Award. We are committed to protecting your privacy and we take all reasonable precautions to safeguard personal information.

Nesta is the Data Controller of all information relating to the Award. The Award has project page on a website, which is being hosted by Nesta. Please see Nesta’s Privacy Policy, which can be found on that site, for more details as to how we use your data.

We will use any personal information provided by you or your partners, including contact details for you and your partners:

  • for the purpose of assessing and evaluating your application;
  • to process your application for Award;
  • to administer the Award;
  • to carry out evaluation and research.

If you make an application to the Award, you will be redirected to a third-party platform, Submittable Inc, to process that application. Submittable Inc are based in the United States and so your information may be stored and processed outside the UK and/or the EEA. Please see the Submittable Inc. Privacy Policy for more information. Please also ensure you read the terms and conditions of the Submittable platform as you will be agreeing to these when you submit an application.

We remain the controller of your personal information in this arrangement – the third party is only permitted to process your personal information in line with our instructions.

Each of our Award delivery partners and the members of the selection panel will be acting as a Data Processor of information relating to the delivery and assessment of the Award, and Nesta has an appropriate agreement in place with each of these partners and assessors. Any information that you provide to our partners and members of the selection panel will be used by them in order to deliver the Award and in particular, for the assessment and evaluation of the Award. Our legal basis for doing this is our legitimate interest of being able to work collaboratively with other organisations to deliver this Award.
