About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

This event took place on Sunday 25 September.

Regional growth is a cross-party objective. Both Labour and the Conservatives are championing ways to boost economic opportunities beyond London and the Southeast. The road to net zero will change the structure of UK industry: what economic opportunities could it provide? We brought together industry experts to discuss how cutting-edge innovations and the faster rollout of established technologies like low-carbon power or heat pumps, could provide opportunities for regional growth. Our panel examined how these changes could play out in the real economy, and the benefits they might provide to constituencies, households, and businesses.
