About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

These terms and conditions apply to all proposals submitted to Nesta (“Nesta”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for our “Radical Visions ” project (the “Project”). Please read these terms and conditions and our privacy policy before submitting a proposal/pitch to the Project.

By submitting a proposal, you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and confirm you have read and understood our privacy policy.

1. Background to Nesta and the Radical Visions project

Nesta is a UK innovation foundation. We help people and organisations bring great ideas to life. We do this by providing investments and grants and mobilising research, networks and skills. We are an independent charity (registered with charity number 1144091) and our work is enabled by an endowment from the National Lottery.
This Project is led by Nesta’s government and innovation team, and is supported by Nesta’s own funding.

The Project is designed to collect a diverse range of visions about the Future of Government. This is to coincide with a major event Nesta is holding in September 2019, and will also be used by Nesta to help shape future research and programmes.

2. Who can apply?

Applications are open to all individuals over the age of eighteen (18) years old or organisations. Please note that Nesta reserves the right to include contributions from individuals under the age of eighteen, but this will be by invitation only.

3. What happens after you apply?

3.1 We will assess all eligible applications received by the deadline set out in the call for pitches. At our discretion we will select applicants which in our view comply with the criteria set out in the call for ideas. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a meeting to further discuss their ideas, proposed output and financial support, and then enter a formal agreement with Nesta.

3.2 Our decision about eligibility, selection of applicants for the Project, and the amount of financial support to be provided (if any), shall be final. We may publish general feedback on applications to the Project but we will not provide detailed individual feedback or enter into correspondence with individual applicants.

3.6 If any selected applicant subsequently withdraws or is withdrawn from the Project, we may select a replacement applicant, but will not be obliged to do so.

3.7 We reserve the right to vary the Project or these terms and conditions at any time and at our sole discretion. Variations will take effect from the date they are posted on our website so you must check this page regularly to see the current version.
