Charlotte Scholten

Charlotte supports the development and delivery of the What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care programmes to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Prior to Nesta, Charlotte worked at a health tech startup which aimed to reduce hospital readmission rates by providing patients with digital resources upon discharge. Charlotte's focus was on understanding and improving the patient’s journey and developing useful and engaging content.

Charlotte has also completed an MSc in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice from UCL and the Anna Freud Centre, which has led her to work in clinical settings with looked-after and adopted children and collaborate on research projects to improve outcomes within this population.

In her spare time, she is taking a ceramics course, enjoys yoga, and loves taking her Bernese mountain dog for walks.
