Nesta commissioned Manchester University to create one of the most comprehensive databases of empirical evidence on the effectiveness of innovation policies in the world

The evidence compendium, which you can access below, comprises:

18 summary reports on innovation policy interventions ranging from fiscal incentives for R&D, to advisory services, regulation, cluster policies and public procurement of innovation
Two synthesis reports summarising this huge new knowledge base and addressing the important issue of policy mix.
