Markus works in Nesta's futurescoping Explorations team and is the public affairs lead for NGI Forward.

NGI Forward is a three-year project under the European Commission's Next Generation Internet (NGI) initiative which aims to build a more democratic, inclusive and resilient internet.

Markus joins Nesta from a public affairs consultancy, where he helped businesses in the digital and creative industries navigate Brexit, tech and media policy. Prior to that, he worked as a researcher in political communications and propaganda research, gaining an MSc in Theory and History of International Relations at LSE.

Outside of work, Markus takes an interest in board games, trash culture and retrofuturism. He can often be found photoshopping sunglasses on pictures of animals.
