Group Media Lead
Kieran is group media lead, supporting the deputy director of communications to deliver Nesta and the Behavioural Insights Team's stories to the media and directly to stakeholders.
Kieran has worked in media relations and external affairs across a range of business and consumer-focused social and environmental roles within the government, not-for-profit, and academic sectors. Coming from the Competition and Markets Authority, where he led its investigations into children's social care and large tech businesses, Kieran has also previously worked as media relations manager at the London School of Economics' Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.
Before this, Kieran worked at the energy regulator Ofgem, where he headed media around the energy price cap and smart meters. Kieran also worked at national charity Citizens Advice, where he successfully led campaigns to change government policy on domestic abuse, care homes, energy networks and bills, mobile phone contracts, and a variety of other consumer and social issues. He has also previously worked in policy on early years education.
Kieran graduated from the University of Leeds with an international degree in English Literature and Sociology, and recently spent a year in Australia. In his spare time he enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and persevering with video games he's bad at.
