Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Content Editor, Civic Exchange
Darryl was Content Editor for Civic Exchange, which finds and shares technology that helps local government provide better public services. His job was to get the stories behind the technology, showing how sharing innovations can solve problems across government.
Before joining Nesta, Darryl had been a sub-editor for MoneySavingExpert.com, working on the site’s “how-to” guides, news stories and its weekly email. He spent 10 years as a senior journalist on the BBC News website, dealing with breaking stories as a day editor on the entertainment desk as well as co-ordinating coverage of major events such as Glastonbury Festival.
In the summer of 2012, he donned an Olympic Games Maker uniform to volunteer for its in-house news service, following the gymnastics events and interviewing London 2012 competitors. Darryl’s also involved in hyperlocal journalism and campaigning in his home area of south-east London.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
