Assistant Programme Manager, Future of Work
Bea is an Assistant Programme Manager.
Beatrice leads a number of projects addressing jobs and skills challenges by building international, multi-sector partnerships. The labour market has been knocked by major shocks such as the COVID-19 pandemic, automation and climate change. Beatrice’s projects are building actionable evidence that aims to reduce social inequality and long-term job insecurity.
These include FutureFit, a major training and research programme, supported by Google.org and in partnership with Europe’s largest unions, leading researchers, employers and adult learning experts, that is upskilling 1,000 workers and Digital Frontrunners, an active future of work network for over 300 senior policymakers.
Working in collaboration with the Sustainable Future mission at Nesta, Beatrice is also developing new projects that support the UK’s decarbonisation agenda, focusing on what is required to prepare the UK workforce with green skills and jobs for the transition to a net-zero economy.
Beatrice is passionate about using design principles to explore how we can create an inclusive future of work. Prior to Nesta, Beatrice worked as a freelancer in the creative industries in management and digital marketing. She is now completing her masters degree at UCL’s MSc Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to deepen her understanding of how new forms of entrepreneurship can lead the transition towards sustainable global prosperity.
