Economic growth means more money in coffers to spend on public services, and more money in people’s pockets. In short, economic growth is the means to improved living standards and a lynchpin of the government's ability to deliver on its (and our) ambitions around early years, health and net zero.

The work of Nesta's policy team is to make transparent the often complex sets of assumptions and trade-offs associated with tax and spend, particularly within our mission areas, and to contribute ideas to the debate.
