About Nesta

Nesta is an innovation foundation. For us, innovation means turning bold ideas into reality and changing lives for the better. We use our expertise, skills and funding in areas where there are big challenges facing society.

Bethnal Green Ventures is inviting nine new teams with ideas to change the world to join its winter 2014 programme.

The social accelerator supports tech-based social ventures through a three-month programme. Each team will receive £15,000 of funding, support, access to mentors and work space from Bethnal Green Ventures to develop their idea into a viable product or service.

The nine teams of the winter 2014 cohort were chosen for their ideas to tackle a social or environmental problem using technology.

The teams will begin their full-time programme with Bethnal Green Ventures on 6 January. The programme ends with Demo Day, an event that allows the teams to pitch to an audience of potential investors and partners.
