This event brought together politicians, tech experts and journalists to explore how to effectively communicate innovation policy in a way that resonates with UK voters following the launch of Nesta report, Speaking to the Innovation Population.

The research, conducted with ComRes and launched at the event, addresses the following questions:

  • Why does the public support some types of innovation but not others?
  • What do voters think of the “global race” for innovation and Britain’s performance in it?
  • What concerns the Public about advances in technology?
  • How do voters perceive the role of government in innovation policy?

This research will matter to anyone interested in the public's opinion of the major changes technology is making to our economy and society.
