The Heat Pump Unconference 2026 - 22 Jun 2026 10:00 – 17:30

Accelerating the roll-out of heat pumps for homes is key to decarbonising home heating. Unearthing what matters most to stakeholders in the heat pump world is critical to focus our efforts on addressing the things that are slowing us down.

Nesta’s sustainable future mission is dedicated to bringing new insights to life by bringing people across the sector together to share ideas and learn from each other. By taking a collaborative approach to developing solutions, we aim to listen to voices across the industry to overcome obstacles to scaling this technology.

On Monday 22 June from 10:00-17:00 BST at Energy Systems Catapult Birmingham City Center, B4 6BS we are partnering up with Energy Systems Catapult to host The Heat Pump Unconference 2026 to explore and debate ways to scale up the roll-out of heat pumps, from overcoming challenges to embracing new opportunities.

The event will be chaired by Andrew Cunningham, CEO of Econic. Unlike traditional conferences, the agenda of the day will be designed by those attending, who will choose their own topics to workshop and bring together peers to offer fresh perspectives and experiences. As the UK government begins delivery of the Warm Homes Plan, this event brings honest, productive and solution-focused discussion front and centre. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Lab’s hardware evaluation facility to see where clean energy innovations are tested before being used in homes.

This one-day unconference is for heat pump installers, policymakers, energy innovators, and housing providers. Tickets are £15.00, you can register your place below.
