The state of the nation's health is hindering economic growth and diet-related illnesses risk crippling the NHS. We know a healthier nation is a more prosperous and productive one but tension exists on what the best solutions are.

As part of our healthy life mission, we believe that the food industry has a role to play in collaboration with the government. Together, they must prioritise steering sales towards healthier shopping baskets, to change how the food system operates.

At this panel event, we explored the role of both government and industry to drive towards a healthier future. We debated the options, and considered how we can promote economic growth alongside improving the health of the nation.
