Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Mission Manager, A Healthy Life
Tara joined Nesta in January 2018 and worked in the social health team on a range of projects.
Some of the key projects she worked on include; Accelerating Ideas and Good Help. Accelerating Ideas, a 5-year grant programme that supports eight promising ageing innovations to increase their reach and impact to many more people across the UK and Good Help, a project that explores the factors that help people to build their own sense of purpose, confidence and take action to improve their lives.
Before joining Nesta, Tara spent 18 months travelling across South East Asia and New Zealand. A highlight of this trip was working with an ecotourism company as a dolphin swim guide.
Prior to this, Tara worked with Participle, an organisation whose mission was to resign the welfare state. Here, Tara led their social health project, Wellogram. Wellogram explored a new narrative around health, one that looks beyond illness to wellness and develops a broader story about a capability and relationship-based response.
Tara has a background in person-centred counselling and psychology with a Master's in Health Psychology.
