Programme Manager, Social Health
Sophie was a Programme Manager in the Health Lab.
Sophie worked on Accelerating Ideas, a partnership between Nesta and the National Lottery Community Fund supporting relational health and wellbeing approaches to scale. Sophie also contributed to Nesta's work on care.
Sophie’s background is in social care. Prior to Nesta, she was a senior commissioner in local government.
She has been influenced by living and working with people with learning disabilities, including Carol Bell. Sophie cares about trying to create social change for wellbeing and equality, so everyone has the opportunity to live a good life doing what matters to them.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
BIT helps clients from government, nonprofits and the private sector to improve people’s lives through our empirical problem solving and deep understanding of human behaviour.
Challenge Works designs and runs challenge prizes to spark innovation in science, technology and society.
