Nesta is a research and innovation foundation. We apply our deep expertise in applied methods to design, test and scale solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, working across the innovation lifecycle.
Researcher
At Nesta Challenges, Oliver researched the topic of our challenge prizes, compiling the evidence on which we base our programmes.
He has worked across a range of topics from air quality to plastic waste, and social isolation to supply chain management. It’s his job to determine where and how we can best support innovation to solve some of the most pressing issues of our time.
Prior to Nesta, Oliver worked for the Chief Economist of the Australian Department of Industry. His main role was to analyse innovation in various sectors throughout the Australian economy and produce research on the innovation system. He has worked on international trade, intellectual property and innovation policy.
As an economist and self-professed politics nerd, he's passionate about promoting innovation and ensuring all businesses operate in an environment where they can feel safe to try new things. In Nesta Challenges he worked to define projects that let them do just that.
