Programme Manager, Nesta Challenges
At Nesta Challenges, Nicola was programme manager of The Legal Access Challenge, delivered by Nesta in partnership with the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
Nicola was working on advisory support for policymakers and regulators developing regulatory experiments, and on the development of a new multi-million-pound prize to support people with dementia to live independently at home for longer.
Before joining Nesta, Nicola was previously a Director at global advisory company Willis Towers Watson, whereas a qualified actuary she provided technical and strategic consultancy support to general insurance companies. Nicola is a Fellow of the On Purpose Associate Programme, a one-year leadership programme for experienced professionals facilitating the transition into careers within purpose-driven businesses.
Outside of work, Nicola loves to travel and to spend time outdoors hiking, running and rock climbing. She volunteers with Measuring the Good, which supports small charities and social enterprises to develop their impact practice.
We extend our impact through two specialised units that help people and organisations to solve complex problems and achieve their goals.
BIT helps clients from government, nonprofits and the private sector to improve people’s lives through our empirical problem solving and deep understanding of human behaviour.
Challenge Works designs and runs challenge prizes to spark innovation in science, technology and society.
