Senior Policy Manager, Innovation Growth Lab
Marieke was a Senior Policy Manager for the Innovation Growth Lab in Nesta's Research, Analysis and Policy unit.
She was in charge of identifying and building partnerships with national, regional and city-level governments, as well as multilateral organisations, in line with their policy priorities and providing insightful and evidence-based advice.
In addition, she supported the team in refining the IGL value-proposition for potential partners, funders and customers and in delivering awareness raising campaigns aimed at promoting the use of policy experimentation in the field of innovation, growth and entrepreneurship.
Prior to Nesta, Marieke worked at the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank where her work focused on designing and implementing education and social innovation projects and shaping the dialogue with stakeholders around the promotion of inclusive innovation and social entrepreneurship. Marieke holds a Diploma in Regional Studies of Latin America from the University of Cologne and also spent a year at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
Outside of work, Marieke enjoys cooking with some good music and a glass of rose and spends way too much time watching European football.
